We purchased 2 twin XL vs a king. They opened and fluffed up as stated, however they are not the same thickness - one is correct at 12”, the other is about 11”, not really a big deal. They are firmer than described, so we decided to order the toppers. We had to order the toppers from Amerisleep directly (vs Amazon) - big mistake! Shipping was late, no updates etc., when they did arrive the actual toppers had no labels, paperwork, instructions, care guide etc., just foam, condensed, wrapped in plastic, put into a shipping box. When I tried to confirm that what was in the box was what we ordered, they could not do so. The service rep said “he guessed that that was what was in the box because that was what we ordered”. At this point we were concerned about the lack of service - so - still in the original box, untouched, we asked to return them. Amerisleep does not offer a sleep trial for bedding, which includes toppers, (for sanitary reasons ???) - but -PER THE WEBSITE - unopened products may be returned. We left everything as shipped, untouched, and followed their website instructions and requested a return authorization. However hidden away in the fine print - “terms and conditions” is a paragraph which states that toppers are not returnable - this is in direct conflict with their website advertising “other return policies”, which clearly states that unopened bedding is. Amerisleeps “terms and conditions” must come up when you access the website - I honestly don’t recall seeing it, but did see “other return policies”. Very sneaky.I’m sure by now you know where this is going - it’s been almost 3 weeks of emails, and they will not accept this return. Initially we had no desire to return them - we were happy with the mattress purchased through Amazon, so we thought we would try their other products, but their service was so evasive and lacking we just got a bad vibe. Our advise is this - do your research and shop with a seller you trust (like Amazon). Amerisleep has gone out of their way to refuse this small return - in direct conflict with their website advertising, honestly at this point I’m afraid to send them back (should they agree) fearing that they will just not issue the refund. It's sad that the edges aren't straightened and it feels softer than I thought. I'm satisfied with the large size. I thought about what to choose between as4 and as5. It didn’t expand all the way (corners a little flat) but not something to fuss about. In addition, this bed is super comfortable and definitely helped with us side and back sleeper.
