It starts at the wedding of ODC, and the coupling just never stops. These two are a couple of sexual addicts, and it's hard to imagine they accomplish anything else in the course of a day. Darcy reveals to Elizabeth that he's a virgin, so he's got some catching up to do. Elizabeth is just a plain old nympho, and seems to adopt a new favorite exercise to the exclusion of almost all else.I like this author, her way with words and her imagination. However, not much really happens in this book. The wedding causes a break with Lady Catherine. Elizabeth is bothered by a rake, Lord Orman, who wants revenge on Darcy. Other than that, it's just Lizzy and Darcy learning about each other. It's swoon worthy adoration of each other, but honestly after the first twenty or so bedroom sessions, it gets a little boring.I'm on to the next in this series, but I sure hope there's some drama or suspense or even some humor to spice it up. Darcy, Elizabeth, Pemberley, what more can you want? Unfortunately, while those three are included, this book is little more than a framework for sex scene after sex scene. I'm not opposed to such scenes, but I think there should be a purpose to the scene in furthering the story or developing the characters. In most instances, in this book, there isn't.This book is a fan fiction, and you can find better for free online. There are errors galore in grammar, punctuation, tense, wrong-word usage, continuity. It's clear, at points, that cuts were made to the original story, but they were done so poorly that it's jarring to the reader. If this were self-published, I wouldn't be nearly as critical; however, this is s traditionally published book and should be better.As much as I normally love Darcy and Elizabeth, I came close to disliking them in this book, Darcy, especially. The man couldn't be away from Elizabeth for any period of time without rushing back to her and hauling her off to bed. He cries at the drop of a hat. Definitely not the Darcy I love.I had to force myself to finish this book and when I got to the last line, my reaction was: that's it? There are better Pride and Prejudice sequels out there. Try Jan Hahn or Cassandra Grafton. I promise you'll find those reads much more satisfying.As for me, I own the other two books in this trilogy. They came highly recommended and had high Amazon ratings, so I bought them. Purchasing them was, I think in retrospect, a mistake. I'm not sure I can bring myself to read them. There are so many good books, why waste time on poorly written ones? ### ⭐ Really? I had forgotten how this story goes. The story line is okay as it is, but the steamy sex scenes become tedious at best. Perhaps their first encounter would have been okay, but one scene after the other gets tiresome. We get that the couple is passionately in love, but really must we be exposed to so much of it?
