This has a more liquidy consistency than Meltonian. The closest I've found to old Meltonian creams is Kelly's Shoe Cream. Saphir is good too. That said, Tarrago is still a very good cream and produces an excellent shine, and has the advantage of being good for handbags, couches, and other soft leather items. **Q: Can this product be used on a leather couch?** A: yes and it helps smooth over any cracking, Also good for other marks that appear on leather. **Q: Does this also function as a waterproofer?** A: Don't know.
