This design is around 2-3 inches thick. It fits in narrow aquariums and wall aquariums. You can hide all your filter pipes, heaters or airline behind the background. This design has filtration vents to increase water circulation around the background. Measurements represent the back of the specified tank size(s). The parcel arrived 4 days after I placed the order but I was slightly disappointed the postage cost me almost £15. The background was well protected in it's cardboard box by a thick covering of bubble wrap.The background itself is high quality and very substantial so needs no sticking to the aquarium as it doesn't float. It's about 5 inches deep where the tree branch is and has plenty of room behind to hide pipework. There are foam strips either end to prevent fish going behind. The base of the tree branch has an opening with a mesh stuck at the back which I have removed to provide a 'cave' for any fry to hide. The rocks have wide ledges to attach Java Fern and Anubias.One word of caution; this will not fit in an aquarium in one piece if you have a bracing bar in the middle. I have a Fluval Roma 200 which has an integrated plastic top frame with brace bar that cannot be removed.
