Maybe not the most protective mask- I think it is fair to say we all need at least a 3 ply mask, but this is absolutely better than nothing and will give you some protection, if you follow the advice in how you take it off and clean it. (I have a hand steamer around £12, as I suffer from allergic asthma and so use this to clean surfaces ie bedding). and of course still being careful not to touch your face with your hands etc. but I feel this is helping me. Review: Beautiful well-made dust mask - I love this mask. It is very well-made, comfortable to wear, and I love the feel of the fabric. However, don't forget that this is a beautiful dust mask. It is lovely and comfortable to wear when cleaning, but I would not feel safe wearing the mask in the hopes of protecting me from a virus. Because of its design, it fits quite loosely and it is only 2 slim layers - outer faux sued and cotton lining. Washes well and still looks good, but the elastic strap does become a little loose after a couple of washes - easily fixed with a knot. Overall, I could not in all honesty recommend this mask to anyone looking for anti-virus protection, but it is not meant for that.
