I learned from previous mistakes that if you want a pillow sham to look like it should then it's imperative to measure the area of the sham and purchase the appropriately sized insert. This time that's what I did and as a result I narrowed my focus down to this pair of 20" x 26" inserts. I was skeptical that the quality might not be very good given the very modest price but I am happy to report that these seem to be made well which, given their price, makes them a good value.The pillows came compressed in a vacuum-sealed clear plastic sleeve. Upon carefully cutting it open the compressed pillows within immediately inflated. At first I was a little disappointed that they weren't a little fuller but I decided to use them anyway. I then covered them with a couple of pillow protectors, inserted them into the shams and placed them on the bed. They looked good enough so I concluded they would suffice for my needs even if they weren't as full as I'd hoped. With that I shut off the lights and walked out of the bedroom. When I returned to the room a few hours later and turned on the lights I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the shams appeared to have filled out much more than they were when I'd left the room earlier - so much so that the shams wound up looking the way I'd originally hoped they would - nice and full.The inserts themselves are very soft and as I mentioned before, nice and full. I think they'll hold up nicely over time as inserts since I rarely use the shams for anything other than decoracoraive purposes. I think that if they were to be used for sleeping I'd wager they'd be very comfortable up till the spun material used to fill the insert gets compressed over time to the point that they no longer offer much cushioning - which is what happened with every other polyester-filled pillow I have ever purchased for sleeping. Now all my pillows for sleeping are either down or memory foam.I feel that these represent a great value if used for inserts in a decorative pillow but I wouldn't expect them to last long if one plans on using them for sleeping - but then again I could be wrong especially since I've only had them for a week. Nevertheless, given their cost to benefit ratio I think these are a great value which is why I gave them 5 stars.BTW - There were no manufacturing odors whatsoever with these inserts as is so often the case with memory foam equivalents.I hope this review helps. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent pillows.
