Replacement was straight-forward: turn off and unplug the TV, one screw opens the bulb compartment in the back of the TV, two screws held the original bulb assembly in place, the handle facilitates easy removal of the old bulb. Installation was a snap: slide the unit in and then push firmly to seat in place, secure with the two screws provided, replace the bulb compartment cover, and its screw. That's it...3 screws and your TV works again...in fact, it worked much better! I hadn't realized how dim my original bulb had become over the years; with the new bulb, the TV was bright and sharp, even when the room was filled with sunlight; I should probably have done this several years ago. Highly recommended (I've had it installed for a week or two now, I'll update if it fails prematurely). ### ⭐⭐ Bulb last for 30days? *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2020* Don't get me wrong... the bulb is super easy to install.... But I have now been through 4 of them in less than 4 months! I spend $30000 on Amazon a year (At least) and this is one of the only things I have felt the need to leave a review on in recent years.... After installing... the bulb is bright and makes the picture look amazing.... but within 30 days I get the red light and the tv picture wont turn on.... I bought the warranty on the last 2 bulbs I purchased luckily. I'm going to say it's probably a better idea to spend a little more on a different bulb.... I could be wrong, and it make be something else causing the bulb to malfunction, but really... I can't come up with anything in our environment which would be causing this.... I thought it was a bit strange with the first couple of purchases... but after now going through 4 bulbs and on my 5th... I don't think I'm going to order another one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great replacement for a great price *by D***X on Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2017* UPDATE: After a year and a half of 12 hour/day use my TV started to be very dim so I decided to but another one of these bulbs. after all I had exceeded the 3000 hour guarantee. As I was installing the new bulb I discovered a lot of dust inside my TV so I did a thorough cleaning and re-installed my old bulb just to see how bad it really was and there was nothing wrong with the bulb itself, only dust.I am extremely pleased with these bulbs and will continue to purchase them as long as my TV works.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Prefect fit for my TV. Since I got the TV without a working lamp I can't judge how bright or dim this lamp is compared to the original, but to me it seems like it could be just a little brighter during the daylight hours.
