I adore this doll. I've received two other Paradise Galleries dolls (Sleepy Frog and Su Lin), but this one is my favorite. It is very cuddly and adorable. I don't really know what else to say about it. It looks exactly like the pictures, if not better. I've included pictures of my doll in various outfits and poses, as well as three images that show what the body looks like without clothes.The body is very floppy and has very little stuffing, which I tried to show with those pictures. I have seen videos of other Hoot Hoot dolls that seemed more stuffed than mine, though, so maybe it is just the way mine was stuffed. The way mine is stuffed makes it perfect for holding like a real body, in my opinion. (Update: We ordered one for my grandma and hers is stuffed better, so there appears to be a lot of variety in how they are stuffed.)Keep in mind, this doll is very small. 16 inches, to be exact. It fits Carter's preemie clothes perfectly (Update: Carter's preemie clothes have changed since writing this review and now are slightly too big to fit perfectly). If you want a small doll, this one is amazing, but I noticed a lot of the negative comments were about the size. If you are unsure about the size, maybe look at Preemie sized clothes at a store to get an idea. The last picture I included is of Hoot Hoot beside my Sleepy Frog doll, so that should give you an idea of size difference between Hoot Hoot and normal sized dolls.Overall, I couldn't be happier about this doll. It is everything I wanted and I highly recommend it for anyone else who wants a small doll.Update November 2020:I loved Hoot Hoot so much that I purchased TWO more this month during holiday sales. Sadly, the dolls I received are pale ghosts of the two I ordered back in 2016 and 2017.1. The vinyl it is cast in is a completely different color than my two older ones. The older ones have a reddish tone to them, which I always thought was very realistic as they are meant to resemble preemie babies. The new ones have a more doll-like skin tone. Much less realistic. In the last two pictures you can see the new doll on the left and the old doll on the right.2. The lip color of the new ones is bright pink. It looks like it is wearing lipstick, which would be fine for some of Paradise Galleries other dolls, like their mermaids and pixies, but this doll used to be realistic. The lips greatly stand out against the pale skin tone, adding to the doll-like quality of it.3. The eyelashes are also a different color in the new ones. In my two old ones, the eyelashes are reddish, which makes them blend in with the reddish skin tone, giving the doll very subtle eyelashes that look great. The new doll has black eyelashes, which stand out greatly against the pale skin and, again, adds to the doll like quality of it, making it much less realistic than the older ones.4. When I received my first Hoot Hoot, it had a vague baby powder scent. I'm greatly allergic to such scents, but for my original Hoot Hoot, it was only noticeable if I held it close to my face and the smell eventually faded completely. When I received the new hoot hoots, they smelled so strongly of baby powder that I couldn't even be in the same room as them if they weren't sealed up or I wasn't wearing a mask. The reason the head in the first picture of the new doll is detached is because I disassembled it so I could wash the body and vinyl pieces to try to rid it of the smell. I've done various treatments and I have lessened it to a degree, but it has a long way to go before I don't need to wear a mask near it.5. This is a minor thing, but the eyes of the new ones are also slightly wider than my original. The original has a nice sleepy squint to it, giving it personality and making it feel more real. As with all the other changes, the slightly wider eyes make the doll look more like a doll.Overall, I am extremely disappointed with my two new hoot hoots. As you can tell from my original review, I adored my hoot hoot. We got a new hoot hoot for my grandmother only a few months later, who was pretty much identical, though it was stuffed better than mine and its skin tone was slightly more red. For years, I've wanted to get more Hoot Hoots but hadn't had a chance. I am very sad I missed out on getting more that looked like my original. With the changes to the doll, I now would NOT recommend people purchase Hoot Hoot. Perhaps the doll-like quality the new ones have will appeal to some, and that's perfectly fine, but it is certainly not my type of doll anymore.

Adorable doll, very well made, beautiful face, realistic feel/weight. I have never been a big fan of dolls, especially the ones that open & close their eyes. That being said, my 5 year-old daughter LOVES baby dolls & feeds them, dresses them, hauls them around in strollers, carriers, etc. She wanted a realistic doll and requested a baby boy. I was concerned that it was “too nice” or “too delicate” to play with, as most people who buy these collect them and know how to take care of them properly. I did a lot of research & read a lot of reviews before purchasing this doll. When it arrived & I opened the box I was stunned by how real this doll looked (it also looks a lot like my son). It is just soooo precious, just adorable. I felt horrible putting him back in the box & wrapping it for Christmas! Needless to say my daughter loves him! The doll is wonderful, but also durable, not too fragile. It is also a good size doll for a girl to play with, pretty easy to dress/undress, fits in doll stroller & carrier very well. This doll is pricey, but, definitely worth every penny. If your child takes good care of her babies I think it is a wonderful investment.

This doll is absolutely adorable! If you are looking for a really cute, premie size doll this is it.However, mine came packaged like it had already been opened. The paper was unsealed, nothing over the doll's face, the accesories were not in plastic like usual, and the doll was not tied in the box. The tissue paper was still on the doll's arms and legs, all items were there, and the doll doesn't seem to be damaged so I will keep the doll, but it was disappointing to get a doll that was obviously already opened and returned by someone else.

I Was A Little worried i wouldn't like him i don't..................i love him. yes hes on the small side but he is cuddly with a sweet face. hes my first preemie . hes also my first doll with painted hair. his head is a little wobbly but its supposed to be it adds to the realisim. i have 2 bigger pg dolls . wishes and dreams and bb i love naps , so hes my first awake baby. i don't usually go for awake babies because since i'm fairly new to collecting the eyes sometimes freak me out. so real looking. but my little Rylan was differnt.. i love everything about him

This is my first Paradise Galleries doll & I’m SO impressed with the boxing & detailing of this adorable doll ! He is is the nearest I’ve seen to the more expensive “reborn” dolls ! His picture is pretty accurate too! The dolls face is simply adorable — the expression & eyes are captivating ! Also the detail even to the “soft spot” on the head & the painted hair looks very natural & real〰! His delicate fingers so “real” feeling are posed so lifelike but his darling feet I just thought were tooooooooo cute ! I noticed even a foot/ankle bone protruding a wee bit adding to the dolls realism & his delicate little legs! In addition his adorable outfit including cute hat & booties can’t be improved upon unless one goes to a “high end” baby boutique! He makes me “happy” just to look at him !!!!! Thank you Amazon Prime for quick delivery & Paradise Galleries & Laura Lee Eagles for creating such an “exceptional” sculpture !!

I am going to return this doll because he is so small, but I must give him a very positive review. This is just the cutest little doll, but he is very, very tiny, as in really teeny. Preemie teeny. If that is what you want, i.e., you are looking for a small doll that will melt your heart, then go for it. The face is a beautiful sculpt. The doll is meant to hold the owl toy, so his left arm is crooked at the elbow do to so. And just like the photos on Amazon, he can be posed on his little belly, holding the toy. His arms can be posed a bit, too, as well as the legs, though not too much. The body is weighted beautifully, and he looks like he has a little bum. All in all, if you are looking for a display doll, one that will have you just say, "Awwww..." when you see it, then get this little guy. Cute as a bug in a rug, he is.

I was amazed when i saw thjs picture advertismemt, as it was like looking at my sons face as a baby. I knew then i had to have him, as a cruel landlord made my family homeless through no fault if my own stealing all my furniture, clothes and 15 years of building a home since returning from service in the army but the sentimental things hurt the most he took all my memories. Photos., the keepsakes of ur babies first tooth inside a silver silk box and all the things u get as presents when u have a child ike tbe firsts baby book and as my son played pro youth football since the age of 5 all his trophies were away we all all had iteralky the clothes on our back, uckily my son had a suitcase as he had not long returned from being on hidaybwith bis gran. So when i bought the doll it was beacause i had lost all baby photos etc so this was a fitting replacement for the photos anywyay. He is gorjus when the dolls come they are beautifully written boxed and wrapped and are so real the evwn have the sift spot on their wee head and the left arm is perfect its moulded so it fits ur pinky im the way a baby first clings to your pinky. I was so impressed by my doll and i named him Junior. The onlu thinf inwojld recommend is that its clear these dolls are not to be played with as a toy that uay include maybe something to display him and otber dolls as the soft nody mame it difficult,uckily I had a wicker cbair that my gran had for an old porcelain doll so used the yellow blanket to cober the nit so nice brown wicker and managed to sit and had a help with his owl teddy but other than that he was a great gift ro receive from the storks 😉😉😉😉

My daughter wanted this and had been looking for ages at new born dolls - this one seemed less freaky than some of the others. It is actually really cute and she loves it, although it is slightly smaller than she had hoped (she was hoping for full newborn size) and is so realistic looking that I feel guilty leaving it alone in the house!
