This effects pedal sounds like something Hank Marvin or The Ventures or Dick Dale would have used if it were available back then. The controls really allow you to set up that vintage heavy wet surf sound or a more mellow ambient sound (think Sleepwalk by Santo and Johnny). It uses a center negative 2.1 mm 9volt power supply o order that separately or get a daisy chain for your existing power supply. I use the Surf Rider III with another stompbox that is programmed to produce a magnetic tape delay which gets me the kind of sound I like when playing Apache.
