The rod can be shrink into an easy carry length. That was the best thing about this line. ( I don't believe US store carries this type style of fishing pole at all). item did arrived in a well packed case/package. however, I had it sits in my garage until this past Sunday morning to test it out at the lake. I am using it to fish only for lake bass, walleye (sometime get crappies) the average weight for those fish are around .5bls- 5bls here. the pole has a nice grab from its bottom handle. (that helps when you fighting off with the fish and getting it off the surface) I would say this fishing pole is ONLY ideal for the lake fishing and cast/catch fish size under 8bls. If you are looking for sea fishing, I don't think this will be "heavy duty" enough for the mission. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Won't Last Long *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2018* Bought a Sougayilang travel combo to keep in my small car. 3rd time out the line roller assy came loose from the base so I had to disassemble to trouble-shoot and fix. Went to my Google machine to research and found a disturbing but helpful video from youtuber "Ish With Fish". As I took the reel apart thereafter I quickly confirmed what his video showed - that many components are cheaply made. From the drag to the handle there is a lot of internal parts that will wear quickly if I catch fish like I hope too.It's still a functional rod & reel - but don't be surprised if you need to replace it, or parts of it, after a short amount of use. I recommend this be a little-used travel companion only. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Broke within 10 minutes, but.... I will update my review when I get the new rod in a few days.New rod works great. It fits perfectly in my backpack for when I want to go fishing and also take the motorcycle. If needed I would purchase again.
