This time, though, our heroine has massive insecurities about her business capability. Ms. Kauffman's writing is strong and the story is a good one. Morgan's adopted daughter, Lilly, is adorable and the use of other characters to round out the story is well done. As with all of Ms. K's books, it's well edited and the writing style is not distracted (e.g. few, if any typos and generally good grammar). I liked the series but prefer the author's other books more (e.g., The Great Scot or The Black Sheep and the Princess). Each of them stand alone but it is nice to start from the beginning and get more back story of the characters' history. Donna is a great writer and her characters are well developed and interesting.
