First you need to make sure that your cabinet hinges are self-closing. In order to find this out, just open your cabinet door a couple of inches and let it go. If your door closes it has self-closing hinges, if it does not close and stays open your cabinet hinges are not self-closing and not one soft close damper in the market will work. Now you need to find the right location to install the damper. Always use the top corner closest to the hinge. Our installation movies and literature will show you the right location depending on the item that you will be using. All our products come with installation hardware; you will only need a screw driver. Install our soft close damper and close the door. I did not know these things existed until I installed some cabinets in my basement and these things came with the cabinets I purchased from one of the big box stores. I did an amazon search for the vendor name and found them here. I ordered enough to do all the cabinets in my kitchen. Each one takes about 30 seconds to install and they work great. Wife is super happy, which means I am super happy:) ### ⭐ Terrible quality and poor design *by M***D on July 28, 2017* Terrible quality and poor design. The one screw design is terrible specially being that it's a slotted hole it doesn't allow for the supplied screws to be effective at hold it in place. A two screw design will greatly improve this closer. These are cheaply made, if you want to try them as I had, purchase 5% more than you'll need si se a few will not be usable. That being said, the ones I've put in that had not fallen apart earl are still working (haven't had to replace any yet).
