My ankles are small. This item will fit a woman with small up to size 8 maybe 9 if your feet are not fat, I wear a 10 shoe and they are kind of tight on my feet and because of this they hurt in between my toes. I wore them for about 2 hours and they did loosen u and were comfortable. My daughter is a plus size girl wear a size 10 shoe with fat feet and ankles and could not get her's on, and my other daughter wears a 11 shoe and skinny long feet...they did not fit her at all, she is 6ft. 2in tall plays college basketball and teaches yoga. I use my for the gym, yoga and ballet. They felt much better after the initial wear. I like them and with the gel grips on the bottom, these are a hit even to sleep in. They kept my feet cool and not sweaty, gave my ankle supportand felt nice on my feet.
