When shooting Amazon, unless it is something I need right away, I usually save it to a list, adding a note with the date and the then-current price, and also put the item in my cart, then move it to the “save for later” list on the cart page. When you do this, every time you look at your cart, it will tell you which items on that list have had a price change, up or down, and the amount. I then wait for the price to go down. About a year ago, I saved over $130 on a larger ticket item. That was definitely worth the wait. Also, if you are a Prime member, you must realize the free shipping isn’t really free. A little of the price is due to this, especially on cheaper items. It’s like buying a bottle of aspirin at a corner store cost more than at a drug store, which costs more than at a big box store.
