It's pretty, convenient and the tea I've made so far tastes fabulous, as good as the tea my "tea snob" friends make in their devices. I warm the water on the stove, then place the diffuser in after I turn off heat, when the tea reaches the color I desire, I take out the diffuser and serve tea in the beautiful teapot. I purchased this product originally about a month ago and loved how it looked and functioned. Makes great tea and so easy to clean. But the customer service is even more amazing. I received a follow up note from the people that make them asking how I had liked it. I replied that while I loved it unfortunately I had ruined the teapot by forgetting that I was making tea and left on the burner for about 7 hours! Needless to say by then it was a mess. The glass hadn't broken (amazingly) but by then of course all the water had long evaporated and the tea leaves then had stained the glass beyond serviceable use. Totally my fault. I was really bummed but intended to purchase another one soon. A couple of days later I came home to see a box on my table. Wondering what it was since I hadn't ordered anything recently I was so surprised to open it and to find a brand new replacement teapot! It made my day. I hadn't asked for it in any way.
