I use this with a 0.5x focal reducer attached to the end, plus a light pollution filter. The threads seem high quality. This is a nice long tube that allows me to attain proper back focus for the reducer. I attached an image of how it fits into my setup -- the camera goes into the extension tube at the correct depth, and the extension tube + reducer + filter goes into the eyepiece holder, connected to the visual back. (I plan to test this without the diagonal as well, which should work theoretically). The collar of the extension tube holding the camera in place is secure and I didn't have any issues with it moving during my captures. I'm able to achieve perfect focus (using Bahtinov mask) from 0.5x to 0.33x reduction with no noticeable star aberrations.
