It sounds just as you imagine what a Boss delay pedal should sound like. It is built like a tank and their no volume drop-off when engaging the effect, like other delay pedals can sometimes have. All the various modes give you a lot of flexibility to your delay sounds. The digital delay setting is clean and crisp, and the warm and analog settings give you a darker, warmer tone, emulating the tone of an analog pedal. The reverse setting is very good. The tape setting does a passable job IMO, but other delay pedals are much better for that type of sound. The looper is nice but a little short in its duration. Tap tempo can be accessed internally by pressing the footswitch for a few seconds, setting the tempo via a few taps, and pressing the footswitch again for a few seconds to confirm the tempo. If you are going to play live with it, an external tap tempo footswitch might be a good idea to get. Overall though, it is a great sounding pedal.
