It's about an hour before bedtime, I turn off the t.v. and my husband and I gather with our two boys on the living room coach.  Our sons are 1 1/2 and 3 years old.  My husband starts the reading and I watch my son's eyes close in the brown boy characters.  We read all kinds of stories with talking rabbits, cats, and tiger characters. I’m a firm believer that you need to read and coach children from the very beginning. I’ve needing Reading, Talking, and Singing to my son since I found out I was expecting. It creates a bond. And, I feel that if I teach how positive  love and affirmation from the start. He won’t question himself later, but can possibly help teach others.It starts at home.Pictures are great, words are even better!

Calling all brown boy parents to buy this book. I love love love the affirmations. My say this to my almost 18 month old every day. Been doing it before i bought the book but it was such a wonderful addition to our family collection. And he laughs when we read the "you can be president or an own your own business" not  sure why thats funny to him but I think this is one of the best affirmation books for little brown boys. Love it!
