You can stick another hat on over the top if it's really cold (and you don't need a helmet on). Quite like the fabric it's a good combo of comfy inside and shell layer outside. The mouth cover bit is very well designed, comfortable and easily moved out of the way, and stays out of the way.Not ideal for torrential rain unless you're wearing your coat's hood over the top - it will drip rain down under your collar. (Just wear it under a coat hood). But fine for less dreadful rain.Only downside I've found is it cuts out sound to the extent that on a site with background noise you can't clearly hear what people near you are saying. This may be a plus depending on who you're talking to, but on some jobs it might not be safe to be partially deaf. I take extra care when working near traffic with this on.
