The prong has a hole in center that levels the shishka Bob stick that goes through a potatoes and out the front. It works better to have potatoes peeled. We loved it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does the job, little flimsy *by K***W on August 6, 2023* Takes some figuring out. Parts can be loose. Potato stabber comes apart, though I find poking through and using pliers to pull the metal poker all the way through provides a slightly bigger hole which means less bamboo skewer that break off inside your potato (thus ruining it). So maybe it's two-pieces by design? Potato holder can fail. But after trial and error, I figured out a system and I'm good to go. You can slice 1/4" off the end to get a more even grip. (You may as well buy some skewers since it only comes with a dozen or so and most of the ones you see at stores are too thick to work in it.) Kids really like the potatoes with some salt & MSG. The spiralizing is relatively quick once you get good.
