The Mohave Desert has lots of interesting insects that sting and bite. My skin resembled road kill after being out at dusk. A few spritzes of this magic potion and I literally watched the bugs fly away in the opposite direction. Nice, pleasant citrenella -lemony scent. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Horrible stuff... to mosquitoes! *by K***K on Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2016* I'm a mosquito magnet, living in Oklahoma on a lot that is bordered on two sides by the city ditch. Get the picture? My dogs were convinced they had done something horribly wrong and I didn't love them anymore because I cancelled our evening game of catch and wouldn't go out to stand guard when it was time for last call. Truth was, I couldn't go out, and I didn't want them outside one second longer than necessary. Forget clowns and boogeymen, it's the mosquitoes this year that kept me from going out. Giant, voracious, mutant mosquitoes that nothing seemed to slow down, much less stop. We tried everything, but nothing really seemed to do the job. Cutter, OFF!, those little motorized chemical thingies that hang on your belt... none of it helped for more than two tosses of a flying disc or ball. Enter the All Natural Insect Repellent by Yellow Bird. Not only does it actually seem to work well enough to get through an entire T-ball series with only a bite or two, but it also smells nice enough that your family will actually want to sit with you for the game! I've even used a light spray on my furkids when we go out to play now. It does the trick! Is it going to keep you completely bite-free? Probably not. But I'll take one or two bites over one or two dozen (literally) any day. I counted 13 bites one night, using one of the other products. I've had mosquitoes circle around and come close to landing with the Yellow Bird repellent on, but for the most part, they quickly decide to buzz off. I can't even guarantee that the bites I have gotten using this stuff are legit failures, since they're usually in areas that are hard to reach (the back) or that don't get sprayed (back of the neck, on my head, etc.). Also, being cheap, I use the spray lightly, and don't reapply often, so odds are a heavier application would have even better results. I like the Yellow Bird so well that I ordered more for myself and some for my sister. Never had to contact customer service, but much to my surprise, they contacted me - just to say they noticed and to thank me for being a loyal customer. A product that works and a business that pays attention to its customer traffic? I used it when I went on a 5 mile hike in Alaska and those mosquitoes were humongous, and I noticed that they didn't come near me or my sister. But they were landing on other members of our party. I always spray it all over my clothes and on all my exposed skin even my hair. This stuff really works, I have even bought some for my mom and she really likes it too.
