## Description

The GARDENA Spreader L is ideally suited to conveniently   delivering fertiliser and road salt to mid-sized areas. It has an open/close   function that can be operated at its handle, where the spreading quantity can   also be adjusted. The cover slide with its seal lip seals the spreader   container so well that nothing slips out when it is stationary or being   filled or after use. The special scattering roller in the GARDENA Spreader L   distributes the spreading material evenly and cleanly and on where it is supposed   to go. The spreader can be cleaned easily with water.

Did the trick, personally I find Gardena products well made, reliable and longevity you can rely on and am hoping thr same will be said of this seeder. The only thing with this is the instructions couldve been better and more helpful especially for those people being a novice with seeding a lawn I feel. However no doubt lots of helpful advice online and via their customer services. Just needs to be included in the wrapping on this seeder. If this had been inc I wouldve given 5 stars.

As an agricultural engineering I have considerable knowledge of what makes a good fertiliser spreader. This ticks all the boxes. It needs a positive feed to drive the fertiliser to the outlet. This has it. You need an easily adjustable outlet to allow varying rates of application. This has it. You need to be able to turn off the flow of fertiliser from the push handle. This has it. You need a construction that is corrosion resistant. This has it.Ha I g read numerous reviews of garden fertiliser spreaders few if any mentioned this machine, presumably because they were not given one free of charge. Few reviews had even bothered to check output, and most appeared not to be aware that the distribution pattern of different types of spreader varies. This machine gives a constant application across its width, spinning disc machines give a variation across their width, so it is important not to match passes across the lawn, or stripping may occur. Making two passes at right angles to one another with half rate applications can avoid this.To sum up if you are looking for a well designed European manufactured machine, that does the job well this is the one to go for. It may cost a bit more than some others but is well worth it.
