Worth every penny.
As an aspiring graphic artist I'm always looking for inspirational books, magazines, websites, etc. anything that will help me grasp a better understanding of how the artwork is created and the process involved so that I may improve. This is the first book in the series I've bought and it is an incredible read, I'm actually in the middle of reading it. Various artists are given sections to talk about their creative and technical process of their work in a brief yet insightful way. It's interesting to see how each rough sketch eventually becomes a full narrative, so if you're not up to par on the technical side of the software the artists talk about, it is still enjoyable to see all of the incredible images.

A Wide Array of Something-for-Everyone
Digital Art Masters: Volume 7 is a really nice collection of digital art that brings a wide array of styles and techniques together, allowing lots of eye candy. No matter your preference for art, this book will have a lot of material to interest you. Not only is it good to look at, but the art comes with a lot of dialog from the artists. You get to witness their creation of each piece, learn their approach, and pick up a few tips for how to make your own art stand out (if you're the type of person to have your own art).I love concept art. I love how atmospheric it is. I love the broad, messy brush strokes. I love the story it has to tell as part of its purpose. This book has a lot of it. It also has more polished art that, while awesome, doesn't interest me as much as the concept art. While I would like to see more concept art in this book, I understand that it is not a weakness to have a book as perfectly balanced as this one.As for the quality of the book, it is impeccable. The print and binding are top-notch. You won't be disappointed with this book. It is pristine, and you'll find yourself wanting to show it off to the people you know. I'm proud to have it in my collection.

Inspiring and insightful
The media could not be loaded. Another year, another volume of Digital Art Masters. I can see this series continue indefinitely.Digital Art Masters Volume 7 features 50 artists in this 288-page paperback. Each features a project and comes with insightful commentary into the creation process. The categories are Sci-Fi, Scene, Fantasy, Character and Cartoon. The techniques taught are mainly on digital painting and 3D modeling. Software used are Photoshop, Maya, ZBrush, Mudbox and others. It's difficult to pick out any outstanding pieces because they all fantastic. The variety is great. Gilles Beloeil talks about the marketplace he created for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Borislav Kechashki explains how he creates his armor bear with 2D and 3D techniques, and many artists talking about their own way of creating character art. It's an inspiring and insightful collection. Highly recommended to any digital artist.(There are more pictures of the book on my blog. Just visit my Amazon profile for the link.)

Amazin!!!
Nothing I need to add to this item . It is truly amazing. If you are willing to learn digital painting or 3d this needs to be on your list of books to buy. New techniques and processes you can improve or learn. Nothing better than learn with other artists strategies or hints to create art.The delivery was impeccable, nicely wrapped. I was sure the local postman did throw the book to the floor just to deliver it, nothing to do with amazon service, and didnt get any scratch on the cover of the book. That is how it is nicely wrapped.5 stars for amazon and book.

3D total publishing do it again
Excellent book thats worth every penny. This is more of a gallery of art work rather than a how to book. It does contain some insight on how certain aspects of each image was created but does not go to deep into the process.

It's Ok
Found it a bit generic, the explanations are not very deep, or very specific. Beautiful Images and very inspirational still.
