This required removal of the door and opening the front of the washer anyway. It seemed a good idea to replace the pump at the same time. At the first glance, the inlet connector seemed too small to fit the inlet pipe fully. This was very frustrating to discover. However, after lubricating the end of the hose and inside of the inlet with some hand cream the problem was solved - the inlet hose inserted fully and seated properly. Electrical connector on this pump is rotated 90 degrees and covered with a shroud on the top, as compared to original pump, which makes it a bit tricky to connect. The shroud would protect the connector from any dripping water from the top, so it can be considered an improvement. Rubber drain hose for the "coin catcher" is a welcome addition. I used a zip tie to position that hose away from any sharp edges of the washer's sheet metal body to avoid any damage to that rubber hose during washer's operation. Motor seems to be rated for shorter run cycle than original pump's motor - 10 mins run time instead of 15 mins. This should not be an issue. Motor is brushless, with sealed rotor, just like motor on the original pump. So far so good, this new pump is working well. The old pump with a lot of discoloration on the inside is stored away as a spare, after a good cleaning from sand, rusty coins and other trapped debris. Old pump can also be modified to add a drain hose by drilling out a hole in the molded connection that is already present but not open. I expect another 10 years of quiet service from this excellent washer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great function, minor difficulty with install *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on December 10, 2018* Our Bosch Nexxt 500 washer kept showing E04 error code, which is for a drain clog or too much detergent. Nothing found "coin trap", nothing lodged in the drain lines, finally ordered this entire new pump assembly. Install was not terribly difficult, the only real problem I encountered was that the washer's original drain line doesn't match up exactly with the drain line fitting that's molded into the body of the pump assembly. The drain line's two small "ears" that are intended to latch into the fitting (and did so just fine on the original pump assembly) wouldn't quite engage. It seems that the geometry of this replacement pump assemby's fitting differs slightly from the original, but I was able to make it work with a little extra effort. Also, this pump included the small black drain line as shown in the photo of the product. My original pump did not include this small drain line, although it has the fitting for it. It allows you to get the water trapped in the system out in a nicely-controlled and much less messy manner than without the line, when it comes time to check the coin trap or perform any other maintenance.
