The bottom flat part is HUGE. I normally get 10.5~11 in this style of sandal, I got an XL in these and my toes are a good 2 inches from the end. That being said the straps are very tight. The one that goes around my ankle is fine as it's adjustable, but the one that goes on top of my foot is very snug.
