My hair is very long, color treated, and heat styled. This stuff is magic for keeping my hair healthy.Here’s what I like: product is thick and fully saturates my hair. It is effective quickly - you can feel a difference after leaving it on just 7 minutes. For added penetration, I add a hot towel, wrapped around my head in the shower and leave it on 10-15 minutes. This is excellent for use after coloring and as a weekly deep conditioner. It is an economical, no frills product - you’re no paying extra for a name here. But it’s every bit as good as the stuff I used to get at the beauty supply store. I buy this on the subscribe and save program, which saves a bit more on cost. One jar lasts me one month - I use after color treatments (every 3 weeks) and as a weekly deep conditioner.... so that’s about 5-6 applications per jar for my very long hair. It would probably last 2 months if you have shoulder length hair, maybe even 3 if you have very short hair.The scent is very neutral, which disappointed me at first, as I love the smell of good hair products. My hair received a lot of damage after bleaching - leaving it dry and straw-like. After using this, my hair felt soft and silky. Amazing transformation. I use this as a mask once a week. TIP: Work a small amount (less than pea size - more if you have a lot or longer hair) into your wet/damp hair after washing and style as normal. This gives me the same results as using it as a mask. Red, black, pink, blah blah blah :).I have tried tons of hair products, everything from the high priced organic stuff to the walmart stuff. The high priced organic stuff always left my hair greasy and, flat, and unworkable. The walmart stuff never did anything for my hair. I tried coconut oil, Aragon oil, etc...nothing worked. Absolutely nothing. Even when using very small amounts of any product it would leave my hair greasy, heavy, and gross. Using more of the stuff that didn't work, due to all the additives, left my hair in a worse position than when I began.I take a shower, get out, put a quarter sized through my long hair and leave it in and let it dry, it smells amazing! I know this is a mask but I don't wash it out. Doesn't weigh my hair down, doesn't make it greasy. Once my hair is dry, it's bouncy, shiny, healthy, and looks like one of those Panteen Pro-V hair conditioner commercials. It's crazy. Never in my life have I ever had hair this healthy. So grateful!
