It is designed to take some of the strain out of pushing, the attendant will still have to steer and control the wheelchair manually. ## Features - Unlike anything currently on the market the Elite Care PowerCruise is a travel wheelchair with a built in hub motor to aid the person pushing the wheelchair. The motor on the rear right wheel is controlled by a lever and button on the right hand push handle. - A charger is included for charging the lithium battery. Simply unplug the battery from the chair and plug it into the charger. The battery is stored in a pocket on the rear of the backrest. - A brake lever on the left handle can lock on fully or be used to slow down the wheelchair. The wheelchair will fold up and once the footrest and battery are removed it will fit in the included carry bay so perfect for holidays, cruises etc. - We have tested this product ourselves and found the hub motor takes away most of the effort in pushing the wheelchair.
