No amount of adjusting the sides will change this but if you stretch it out over something larger than your head for a day or two it will be less painful...In case you're wondering, yeah we have normal sized heads. I had (the now discontinued) Bongo headphones from Wesc previously and had to replace them after years of usage and finally breaking on me. This was a suitable upgrade.I do say though, it is definitely a lot tighter around the head than I am used to. It's not as comfortable, and after wearing them for an extended period of 30 minutes or more, it really feels like I have a migraine from all the pressure it puts on my head. Maybe it's just me, or I haven't broken in my new headphones yet to loosen up the pressure.
