Because of the time period of the costume, you want it to fit in length. If the rest of the dress is a bit large on her it will still drape nicely and it has the waist tie which will help to make it look fitted. If your daughter is narrow through the shoulders this could be problematic in the neck line of the dress being to wide. However, tall girls even when very thin have broader shoulders, so this mostly likely will not be a problem.
