Very comfortable. Good value for 2021 model at a discount.
This helmet is very very comfortable. It looks great -- very subdued and not ridiculous like other brands. Buying the 2021 model was a great deal, about half the price of the 2022 model, even though it's basically the same thing.

Good but not great
Had this helmet for a week and did a couple rides already. So far Im happy with everything it provides as a helmet. It feels safe and the MIPs performs as it should. The helmet itself is very comfortable and I never really notice it's there while riding. Style is good but nothing amazing. My only gripe is the go pro mount. It feels like cheaper plastic and the way it attaches is poorly designed. They provide very thin felt on the sides of the mount which don't provide a tight seal when it's in use and that translates to shakey wobble on the footage. I remedied this by attaching thicker velcro felt. Removed the wobble but then the clips the plastic mount use wore down with just a few removals and now it'll pop right off with little assistance. This makes it unusable. Not a huge deal and it's still a safe helmet but I wouldn't buy it for that feature as it's really poorly executed here.

Perfect fit for a big head!
This is an out-of-the-box review. I have not yet taken a ride with it. I'll update when I do.This is my second Giro bike helmet. My first saved me from serious/permanent injury a few weeks ago, when I crashed on my gravel bike and smacked my head pretty good on the asphalt. I wanted one with a visor, and maybe a little more ear/back-of-the-head protection. After a good bit of research on other BIG helmets, I went with this because of the visor and previous life-saving experience from Giro. It did not disappoint. It fits my 25.5cm head *perfectly*, with room for my skull cap, to keep the sweat out of my eyes. It sits nice and low on my head, about 1" above my eyebrows, which is supposed to be ideal height. It is super comfortable, and lightweight. Though this is a dirt bicycling helmet, I'm using it on my road bike, because of the visor. All the trails in Southern California run north/south, so in winter you're staring into the Sun half the time, so a visor is great to have.Really happy to have such an awesome-fitting helmet!

Great MIPS style helmet for mountain biking
My old helmet was nearly 10 years old... gross and crusty from the years of sweat/pain climbing up and down the local mountains, so I finally decided it was time to upgrade my safety. (a recent surprise crash made me realize how important my head was).Went with the Giro because the sizing and fit was best for my longer, round head. Plenty of adjustments and was able to get it to fit the way I like around my chin. Several of the other cheaper options didn't come with adjustable chin strap/ear height bands -- these were critical in my case for whatever reason!Been using for several months and still love this helmet!PS, has a camera mount if you're into filming your crashes. For me it went in the recycle bin. I'd rather not relive the pain! Cheers!

Great fit for small head.
First helmet that actually fit my small head in a long time. Like the bright color too.

Montaro vs. Chronicle
I asked for some feedback as I was purchasing these and I got some good responses but also some incorrect responses so I decided to post my own reviews with pics as proof. Ok so I just received this today and decided to post a review between the chronicle and the Montaro. Executive summary the Chronicle is the better helmet. See the pics and judge for yourself the red is the chronicle and the black is the Montaro. The Montaro does seem to fit a little softer. It more comfortably but the difference between the two is negligible. The chronicle seems to be overall better. It covers your head more providing more head protection on the rear. The Monterey is lighter but this is because it provides less protection on the rear. The Montaro bill is fixed and does not adjust. The chronicle can be adjusted. The chronicle can also be tightened around your head and then adjusted vertically the Montaro just tightens no vertical adjustment. The interior yes the montero is negligible softer but the chronicle MIPS on the chronicle seems to be better built. The montero wins on style points in the groove design but on the head the chronicle just seems to look better while the Montaro seems to look roundy., overall I have no idea why the Montaro costs more. The chronicle had more features is more adjustable, longer brim and adjustable vertical and horizontal mips seems better quality. Chronicle is the hands down winner! See the pics and judge for yourself.

Road Bike Helmet
I use it for road biking. It looks great. It is very comfortable. It fits well. What more is there? Since they say it is for "Dirt bikes", I think it is heftier and covers more of your head in the back. I found it to be one of the best helmets I have owned over my biking so far (I just crossed 100,000 miles of recorded rides).

Great fit with style
Iโve chosen this coz itโs matching my bike colour and it had good reviews. I admit, it fits well, adjustable and light.
