The local bird vet told me that was unhealthy and recommended ZuPreem Natural Pellets. I expected it to take a while for her to switch over and get used to them, but she took to them right away. When I occasionally give her seeds and dried veggie bits mixed in as a treat, she eats the pellets and leaves the seeds and veggie bits behind. She will eat fresh fruits like apple slices and grapes, but refuses most fresh veggies. ZuPreem Natural Pellets is a balanced diet and I feel better about feeding it to her. Another funny thing she took to right away was a water bottle. The kind with the metal tube and a ball that you use to give water to hamsters. She used to dunk her ZuPreem Natural Pellets into her water bowl and it would get nasty every day, now she can't dunk them and always has clean water.
