The nut would be 15mm wrench to remove. **Q: Can i use mountain bike tires on this bike?** A: Only to 700cx28mmm tires **Q: 5 ft 8 what size is best?** A: I'm 5'7" with 30" (bike inseam) crotch to floor. Not pants inseam. 52cm fits me perfectly. You'd probably be fine with the 52cm, but you should use a road bike fit calculator and get your measurements. You might be better on the next size up depending on what your inseam measurements are etc. Do an online search for a road bike fit calculator and take a few measurements, there are many online. Components suck so I upgraded bottom bracket, crankset, wheelset, tires, handlebars, grips, brakes and brake levers and saddle.
