It just changes the decorative coverings of the old parts. I bought it to change the metal color on a 1992 shower faucet. This kit was made to do that on a Moen Chateau shower faucet. If you don’t have that you may want to check with the manufacturer or a licensed plumber. If you do, it will take about 5 minutes to change out the coverings. **Q: does this product have 5 and 7 screw holes** A: Yes, they are at 5:00 and 7:00. **Q: What is the diameter of the plate? I have a 5.5 inch space from the old one and the max size it can accomodate is 6 inches.** A: My back plate is aprox. 6 3/4" in diameter. **Q: What is the product dimensions?
