Will this work?** A: when the sun is heating a lot (around noon) the shumacher pannel cell charges the batterie at 24 volts, if you let this charge the car batterie you would be able to enjoy it, i use it to charge a 600 amps car batterie that turn on 6 led light bulbs that consume 3 amp/h each (18 amp/h) and it work all night long, i think that this device will let you watch tv or the stereo separately but this will work as long as you have a clear day, y dont recommend you to plug directly to the tv or stereo because the solar pannels never send the same voltaje, all of them are designed to plug to an charge controller **Q: Does the charger also come with a controller?The pictures displayed show the controller.But i also see it in the list of items frequently bought tog** A: It comes with the adapter for 12V cigarette lighter and battery clamps, the controller is separate. **Q: can it overcharge a deisel battery** A: Batteries are usually lead/acid. Never heard of a deisel battery. When we go home we drive our truck home and use our other vehicle to get around. This causes us to leave our '98 Dodge Durango (parked in Georgia) for 3 - 6 weeks at a time without starting it. When we do we use it to go get something to eat and back to work so it does not get driven enough to give the batteries a good charge. We purchased this, along with the Schumacher SPC-7A 12 Volt Solar Charge Controller, after having to jump start our vehicle after leaving it for 8 weeks. We use thin window shades (with Fairies on them) and put the Solar Charger on the dash. It charges just fine even though it is not in direct sunlight. After being parked for 4 weeks, we put a multi-meter on the battery and it read 12.3 volts..started right up. Now we are thinking about buying another one for our Car in Florida!
