I like the colors, as well, because they are quite visible without being ugly. Clear sound, no interference or static. The light is a nice touch, and it works even when the radios are off. Headphone jack is also a plus. The ability to "link" multiple radios & use on a variety of channels is great, too! Quick press the "talk" button to call other units, volume control is done right, with incremental changes rather than HUGE leaps like most "kid" walkies.Purchased for a birthday party gift for my nephew(s), who live in the city, as a means of communicating without cell phones while they play at their local parks, around their neighborhood, etc. I have since purchased 2 more sets. Haven't tested the 10 mile range claim, but I'd guess it comes close. They serve us well on our 64 acre property with no obstruction as well as in our small town and in a larger city.Overall, highly recommend these for anyone who is looking for a budget friendly, quality pair of walkies. The sound quality was terrible, there was so much static that the voice couldn’t get through to the other Waltkie talkie. I would not recommend this product.
