I found that it did not adhere well to the molded and textured plastic hood of the bagger unit, but stuck like gangbusters to the powder coated metal hood of the tractor. It is not perfectly clear, but had a frosted texture in the clear areas, but it doesn't distort the background coloring of whatever you mount it on. I took away the single star because it didn't like vinyl plastic, but believe it will adhere excellently on metal, glass or other reasonably flat surface. Marking walls or doors with it as handicap accessible would work fine on a painted wall or any door. It is prominent and visible, even in low light. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Eventually worked *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2020* The decal acted like it has to be applied on the inside of my windshield because it would not separate from the backing. Then halfway through peeling the translucent backing (the front) part of the border and the "person" icon released; but not the "wheel" - that stuck to the cardboard backing. It took a bit if finagling to finally get the decal applied ON THE OUTSIDE.
