This is absolutely an amazing book. I would not recommend it for a  person who is beginning to cook at home, this is more for the experience to home cook/professional chef. The book offers many different ideas and techniques on cooking. If you are experienced and are looking to sharpen your skills I highly recommend this book. And the copy that I have for the record is in English.

Imagine how disappointed I was when I gave this as a Christmas gift to an English-speaking friend, only to find that the whole book is printed in Italian.  The Amazon listing for it says "English/Italian" and the title is clearly in English (or French).  I thought I was doing the right thing by ordering the latest edition of this book.  Do yourself a favor; save $50 and buy the older one which is in English.
