The workmanship and materials are100% top of the line. The video says to install at 10 feet. We installed at 8 feet without any issues. I accidentally threw away a small end-cap with the packaging. Customer service sent me a replacement right away without complaint. Everything about this experience was wonderful. Highly recommended.UPDATE: One year later and still extremely happy with our awning. With the push of a button, we are able to transform our deck into an oasis. It has been a joy and we are so happy we made the investment. I finally added to pictures to the review so that you can see the finished results. This awning was middle of the road in pricing and the reviews were pretty good.We’ve only had the awning for a month so it remains to be seen how it holds up after a winter but so far so good. The awning opens and closes with ease and we love having the remote so we don’t have to go outside to open and close it as the sun sets in the evening.Pros:-Remote control-Easy pitch adjustment with provided hooks (manual)-arms appear to be of decent strength and qualityCons:-can’t use in medium or higher winds (no side arms and will buffet with stronger gusts)So far we love ours. Again, I want to see how it looks in 12 months after a winter and the awning fabric has seen a lot of sun. I can recommend this unit based on the small amount of information and time I’ve had with it only. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Awning - Expensive, But Worth It! *by T***T on Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2018* We researched many other awnings before purchasing this L Series from Advaning. It was expensive, but exceeded our expectations from the moment we opened the package - which was very, very substantial. Installation was smooth and as described in the manual and the product video. We loved that everything was preassembled. Many other brands that we researched required extensive assembly. All the hardware is very substantial and hardware was supplied for many different applications depending on the location or material of the structure. The fabric is top quality and we expect many years of service. It's great not to have the side bars for support. It allows for total unobstructed access. The ability to adjust the pitch of the awning is also a great feature. There was a small end cap that was cracked during transit. When I contacted Advaning their customer service acknowledged the problem and has shipped the replacement. We plan on at least 2 more Advaning awnings in the near future.
