The alpaca wool is thin but tightly woven and soft. It came vacuum packed so lots of wrinkles for a while so I just hung it by itself and a couple months later the small wrinkles were entirely gone. We keep our heat low at night and I start working at my desk well before the heat kicks in so I just throw the poncho on and I'm cozy. The important part to me is that my arms are not restricted and it's quick and easy to take on and off.
