The color is true to the picture. It's not a bright emerald but a medium green, not as dark as hunter green. The fabric and quality were excellent. The ruching was flattering. Personally, I had a hysterectomy and the ruching started in the middle abdominal area and I needed it lower down to hide my own flaws. If you are thicker in the mid abdomen area, this suit will cover it pretty well with the ruching. However, it did not seem to have much tummy control (firm hold). This could be a good thing if you are looking for more comfort. The bathing suit ran true to size, I ordered a large and I am 5'2" and 147 lbs. The cups fit perfectly, I am 38C. The straps attach easily for more support and to preven slipping down. It is a pretty, comfortable, flattering suit.
