Each time the housing cane apart clean with no cleaning needed and the gasket looked like new each time. **Q: Would this fit an Edelbrock Performer 2101 intake?** A: I believe it does small block and big block chevy water neck are the same size **Q: Can you put this under a water neck that already has a groove under it for an O ring and ill just take the old failing O ring out before i install?** A: Thank you for your inquiry. The Fel Pro 35562T Water Outlet Gasket is not made for a water neck with a groove for an O-Ring. They are reusable but I don't know for how long .they may deteriorate over time . I have found that it is a little tricky to get the right amount of RTV in just the right place .
