Emerson EWV403 4-Head Video Cassette Recorder with On-Screen Programming Display

Well - what can I say! Some members of our population is still trying to life in the past. LOL I purchased this product for my mother - she just won't let go.... Please be advised - VCR's are gone for good. They are not making anymore. All VCR's are not going to be new - just as this one was - old refurbished VCR. The remote did not work at all. The VCR did work - question is for how long. It's a world gone by - so don't expect a new VCR from anyone including this vendor. Let me say it again - you can buy a VCR from anyone in the market. Please don't expect it to be new - they don't make VCR's anymore people - this is a fact. Therefore, if you still want to buy one - this is a good vendor - however - this one and all other VCR's you see will be "OLD" PERIOD!

A replacement VCR arrived as promised by the company to replace the one that has loose parts inside, the new one is working well. The video/audio cable is still very worn out from the original defective VCR but works. I took one star off because of the company forgot to ship out the replacement VCR until I commented on them and the audio/video cable was not in good shape. But, at least, the replacement VCR is working now. Thank you!

It works. But it is not an Emerson. it's a Sylvania & it's much older than I expected. And stratched up. Not worth the price I paid. Not even the color I ordered. And It took them a week to mail it.

Iv'e never owned a refurbished item before so I was hesitant to take a chance. So far it works very well, is easy to operate and has a decent picture. I've had more problems with brand new ones I've purchased over the years. Glad I took the chance and bought it.

I UNPACKED MY VHS TAPES THIS WEEK AFTER MOVING LAST YEAR. THIS EXPLAINS WHY I DIDN'T FIND OUT ABOUT THIS DEFECTIVE MACHINE UNTIL NOW.
