I bought this mask several weeks ago to wear for extended periods in my wood shop. I especially need a mask when sanding and milling wood as I have develop an allergy to wood dust. I have a vacuum system in my shop but it doesn't fully collect the finer dust. I thought I would try this cheaper alternative to a Trend style mask costing $500 or more. This thing is comfortable to wear, easy to breath while wearing, and, so far, has filtered all the fine dust my work has generated. While it comes with only rudimentary instruction, there are 4 blue lights that indicate the fan speed when running and they also indicate the charge state when charging. Very simple. It works so well you forget you are wearing it. That is a real plus. And, even though it is a hepa filter and not an organic filter, I could not smell the epoxy I was working with the other day while wearing it. That says a lot to me about the filter efficiency. So far I have not had any problems but, since it is so inexpensive, I can replace it repeatedly for the cost of a single Trend system. I have vocal paralysis after a thyroidectomy, so breathing is difficult enough without masks. This gives 3 levels of air, but remember it is taking air from outside of the unit. If you are outside in the heat, you get that same hot air. If you are in the ac, you get the cool ac air. It feels like you aren't even wearing a mask inside the ac. I am a service person in and out of houses all day. I have been wearing this for several days now and the battery is still fully charged running mostly on the 2and level. I am carrying a beefy portable charger in case the battery dies in the middle of a job, but I do not see my ever needed it. A night time charge will eventually be enough as I will have ample warning of battery depletion. I often get strange looks and my husband says it looks extreme against my black work shirt, but I know people are actually wondering where they can get one. I also feel like if a customer isn't wearing a mask it is protecting me from them as well since it not only has the N95, but the Hepa filter as well. Probably a false hope, but probably a better level of protection than a homemade mask that gets tugged on all day. The fit is perfect, air placement perfect, air box is not so heavy it is even noticeable on a lanyard. This mask is much more comfortable than any N95 mask I have ever worn, so I doubt I will be cutting my own 1/2" hole in anything bought locally. They seriously got this 100% right the first time.
