But the nib is only so-so and is no better than a good disposable rollerball. I'm just learning about fountain pens and was excited to find this highly rated pen at a great price! And it is a nice pen. It really is. But the thing I like (so far) about fountain pens is the subtle variation in ink flow and line width that you get as you apply different pressures and line angles. With this nib, I don't see that subtle variation. Indeed, the lines look almost exactly like the ones I get from a disposable Pilot Precise V5.
