While I realize it heats in zones, mine seems to do nothing even when left plugged in and turned on for an hour. It doesn't warm in any zone. It has a weird PVC pipe smell, but I suspect that would go away after it heats a few times. I had a sauna in a different form factor (the sitting one) but I like this lie down one better. Unfortunately it doesn't work so I had to request a return. Additionally, it's made for short people so be prepared to have your feet sticking out. I'm 5"6 and did not fit adequately or comfortably inside. I contacted the seller who resent me out a blanket which took over 2 1/2 weeks to receive. Then when I plugged in the new blanket into the machine the machine was not working.
