I've never face painted before. After reading several reviews, I selected these paints and I made the right choice! The colors are vibrant and opaque. We painted over 60 faces and all colors are left over except white.I give 4 stars instead of 5 for 2 reasons:I think that the set should include a larger amount of white. I know I got exactly what was described, but to really have a 5-star palette, include more white. (Also FYI there isn't any brown. We mixed red and green and made a good brown.)Because 3 of us were sharing the palette for our event, I ordered more brushes (snazaroo). The snazaroo brushes were far superior to the brushes included with the set. The round brush in the Ellie set did not have a good point on it, plus several bristles were permanently sticking out to the side so that I had to cut them off to avoid making erroneous marks.I didn't use the applicators. We used q-tips instead.My suggestion to Ellie: instead of including inferior brushes and eye-makeup applicators, add more white instead. Adjust the price is you have to... I'd pay it.The paint quality was great and washed off easily, even the intense colors like black and red. I have sensitive skin and painted my face before the event. I had face paint on for 6+ hours with no irritation. For that reason I would buy these paints again, buy extra white (don't know if I can buy this brand in individual wells), and use my other brushes.

This is a GREAT face painting kit. Easy to use, easy to store. Colors went on easily and really popped. I caution anyone to be sure to put a BASE on before you face paint. My granddaughter had been watching make-up tutorial videos (thank goodness or I'd still be magenta on my whole face) All the tutorials showed putting a white foundation paint on first. Letting it dry, then applying color. Everywhere that had the white base washed off as advertised. The other areas, however, absorbed major pigment color. Had a stripe on my forehead at the hairline, a spot under my nose and on one cheek. I am not vain so I didn't mind coming to work with the splotches of color. Knew it would give everyone a laugh. It did fade in the shower this morning a little more. I LOVE this product and will definitely let my 7 year old granddaughter paint my face again. Just thought I'd share so your first experience isn't a surprise. I recommend trial run on your day off just in case LOL. Also--did wash right out of my hair where it had touched. One last thing--I have extremely sensitive skin and this didn't bother me at all. I had it on for a couple of hours.

I bought this to do some face painting for a work event. Overall, it's a decent palette of colors, providing all the basics. The only thing negative is that the paint does not go as far as claimed. However, it does apply well and it did get the job done. It's a good buy for what it is and I would recommend it to others

Wow these paints are fantastic!!!I used these for the first time this weekend and I am blown away! Up until now I've been using acrylic paints. (I can't even talk about that) Now, I'm totally spoiled by Ellie Arts's Face Paint.I love the coverage and the amount of detail I can do unlike how the acrylic paint behaved. I'm so glad that I got this fave painting kit.So, the paint brushes, applicators, and sponge that came with the kit are terrific too! I thought I had brushes that I like but these Ellie's brushes are so great.I purchased this kit partially because of the stellar reviews but I'm also very grateful for all of the qualities of the paint, vegan, safe for sensitive skin, easy to remove, etc. I could tell everyone I painted that they wouldn't have to worry about anything, that the face paint was very safe.I can say that I'm most excited about the value of these paints. I must tell you, you get a wonderful product for an excellent price! Such a happy customer!

This face paint is amazing! I had a duh moment when I forgot to take off the plastic covering the paint that I was trying to use. So at first I couldn't figure it out. But as soon as I removed the plastic and added a couple drops of water the paint mixed up very nicely and was easy to apply. My daughter has really sensitive skin and this paint did not irritate her skin at all which is great! I loved the brushes and sponges that were included in the set. They made it really easy to get the fine detail that I was looking for when doing my daughters sugar skull halloween make up. Another bonus was the amount of colors that are included, so there was not mixing necessary to get the colors that she wanted. The colors were also very vibrant and you could make them thick or opaque very easily. I would highly recommend this set to anyone looking for face paint that is easy to use! Thank you!

I bought this for my granddaughter. I wish the kit came with a small carrying case so that she could keep everything organized. I have. I opinion on the quality yet since she has not used the paints. I will update my feedback later. My granddaughter is a great face paint artist and has outgrown smaller kits.

Product arrived very quickly and is just like shown in the picture. I initially thought my paint set was defective but after a quick email from the seller I realized the fault was in me. There is a very thin protective plastic layer on each paint. After removing this and adding a little water on the brush it worked great! The colors are vibrant and dry quickly. It doesn't rub off but washes away easily. I like the fact that it is made in the USA, is cosmetic grade and vegan. I placed the plastic "skin" back over the paint and sealed he whole set in the plastic cover. It only takes a little paint to go a long way.

I bought this set of face paints based on the great feedback they received on Amazon. Sure glad I did. We are very happy with the depth of color AND how smooth and light it can be. My granddaughter and I are learning together, since I feed the need to be able to paint on anything, why not faces? This is great fun and I don't think we'll ever lay this craft down! Thanks for making a great product. We were going to make our own face paints so they would be "pure and healthy", but you already did that! I feel very confident that your paints are free from any hazardous additions.
