The pen is larger than I was expecting - 1/4" - 3/8" taller than my other pens (and a good 1/2" taller than a Parker Frontier) - but it's quite light, the pen itself (without the cap) is light as a feather. Installed the cartridge and the pen immediately wrote, no waiting. The nib is really smooth, it glides over the paper. Other reviewers have mentioned that the fine nib is more like a medium but it strikes me as a reasonably fine line. (I've ordered a medium of this pen, too, so I'll see if there's a marked difference.) I have mixed feelings about the clear section; its value is strictly novelty, which quickly wears off. I feel an opaque black section would be an improvement but that's just my opinion.Only other niggles would be: pen surfaces - cap, barrel, section - are all very smooth, almost to the point of slickness so keep a tight grip on it. The chrome clip is a fingerprint magnet. Pen uses proprietary cartridge (or converter, not included) but they're very reasonably priced compared with other brands, $5 for a 10 pack here on Amazon.The black ink in the supplied cartridge flows well but it isn't very black, it's more like a grey flannel color.
