I checked and it is accurate for both level and plumb. Perfect size for checking in tight quarters where you can't fit your torpedo. Bubble is easy to read. A bit pricy but it is a Stabila. The holster is a strange beast. When you use it on its own its perfect, the level clips in and is secure the locking clip has a positive snap to it. To remove a firm push gets it out. But if you clip it to your belt it makes the holster useless. You can not remove the level from the holster, if you try you will only end up pulling the holster off your belt. The locking clip is just a flexible tab and when you put it on a belt the belt pushes the tab forward making removing the level just about impossible. Since it is basically a vial, you could just set on top of another level and see if vials match?** A: No. It's much too short. Nor would I use this to do anything else besides get an approximation of level. Being a Stabila, I would trust it to be accurate for a very small level. The simplest method for checking a level's accuracy is by setting it on a flat surface, then rotating it 180° and noting if the bubble position changed. If it's the same either way, you're good. **Q: Why does the picture say V2 and the one I got doesn’t and didn’t come in the original manufacturer packaging?** A: Best guess is you received an older returned item. **Q: Why does the manufactures say aluminum construction and when i received it, it was plastic?? The size is nice for tight spaces where a full-size level just won’t fit, and the magnetic edge makes it super easy to stick to metal surfaces when I need hands-free alignment.
