That made the sound go all funny to the person on the other end, who said so. When she moved the paper off of the mic, the sound was great again. So don't put things on top of these mics. The mute button on these mics mutes ALL the mics. The green indicator light turns red on the Polycom and the other mic, indicating that the Polycom is muted. Anyone can mute and unmute pushing the mute on either mic or the center triangle unit. Too short *by B***R on April 21, 2014* We have a very large conference room. This system enhanced our Polycom spaceship-looking-conference-room-phone and expanded it greatly considering it was just a single module before. The noise-cancelling is great and the listener can't really discern where you are in the room because it transmits so well. The only problem I had is that the cables for the pods were a bit on the short side. I'm sure I could rig or buy extensions, but I was really disappointed with the coverage you get coming straight out of the box. The ability to add more than just the two would also be nice, but you can't get everything you want, right?
