Then, mixed the tomato paste in. This was not the proper distribution. Tasted almost identical to taco seasoned meat and tomato sauce thicker than ketchup or any sauce (which I prefer for sloppy joes). Anyway, the first day was meh. The second day, I guess when the seasoning spread into the tomato paste, IT HAD VASTLY IMPROVED. My advice is mix the seasoning and water first, then add the tomato paste, when making the sloppy joe sauce. Even if you mess it up, just wait a day.
